Vintage Meissen Crossed Swords Reticulated Display Plate, floral on white fine china, Lattice Rim, 9”

This is an absolutely gorgeous collectible cabinet or display plate by Meissen, marked with crossed swords on the back. Hand-painted flowers and cabbage roses, and a gorgeous reticulated (pierced) lattice rim, this antique plate is beautiful to display and to charm any wall or sideboards.

This 9” Plate is in excellent condition.

Perfect for gifting to any collector or for displaying on a gallery wall.

The marking has two hash marks across the swords indicating that this could be a quality "second" but any manufacturer defects are faint or difficult to notice. Two slashes across the swords were marks used between 1852-1870 and indicated “unsuitable for sale tableware “
