Early mid-century (1940s) Simpsons Potters Argyle large, hand-decorated dinner plate. Center florals, roses, cobalt and yellow bands, filigree with a gadroon edge. Very similar in style to Simpson's Potters Murraygate pattern.

Very hard to find and in VERY GOOD! vintage condition, there are two fleabites to the REVERSE! edge, not noticeable unless the plate is over-turned. Otherwise, there are NO! other chips, nicks, or fleabites, NO! cracks and LITTLE TO NO! loss to the gold edge and NO! stains. The center floral bouquet is bright and vivid with NO! sale fading apparent. Plate shows age-appropriate crazing front and back.
Approximate measurements: 10-1/2" in diameter with a gadroon (rope-embossed) edge.
