WW2 German Army Flak Gun. Original Art Mezzotint Engraving, Intaglio Drypoint Print. Small sale detailed military history artwork, Todd Tremeer.
sale Drypoint mezzotint intaglio print of a WW2 German army flak gun. Original art printmaking, burin engraving and etching.
Small meticulous drypoint drawing of a Tamiya model WW2, German army flak gun. This was an anti-aircraft gun originally mounted into the back of a German halftrack. My intaglio print may look like something from the 'Star Wars' movie because movie makers kitbashed pieces from military models to create their futuristic spaceships. My miniature model flak gun from which I drew this artwork was painted in white winter camouflage. It's white-washing had been inspired by 'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back' winter battle scenes. A movie then popular in the theatres.
The miniature German army half-track that mounted this flak gun is gone. The anti-aircraft gun has survived in my cabinet of curiosities and art props.
Original art printmaking with professional artist quality materials. Acid free paper and rich jet black ink. Paper color is bright white and slightly textured
Black and white signed and numbered print: 1/8
Except for some artist proofs, no other prints in this edition have yet been printed. (Major art studio renovations in 2016 meant moving my etching press into storage for some time. This print and many other intaglio projects will hopefully be editioned this coming year.

COLOR PHOTO of WATERCOLOR PAINTING
*This original watercolor painting of the same flak gun model is available for sale on Etsy by request. Please message me for a price. I have included this photo for selling the black and white art print because it provides a good picture of the German army flak gun and the 'Star Wars' look.
