This wooden engagement ring box has a hare drawn by hand onto the lid, perfect for the wildlife lover in your life.
Along with the natural colorings and markings in the wood we use, the original graphite artwork ensures a truly one of a kind piece.

Dimensions of Ring Box

Height - 1 3/4 inches
Diameter - 2 1/4 inches and 2 5/8 inches at it's widest point
Compartment diameter - 1 1/2 inches with a depth of 1 1/8 inch

Several layers of water based varnish allow the natural colors to last a lifetime.
The single compartment has felt lining in the bottom.
We use graphite pencil to draw the artwork directly onto the lid. This is then sealed before varnish is applied. The hare is original artwork. All our boxes are signed and have a serial number on the base as seen in the last photo.

Natural Colorings and Markings in the Wood.

Branches from dead Lodgepole Pine trees are used to make this box. Pine beetle activity has provided the beautiful markings and blue colorings you can see on the surface of sale the wood.
By carefully removing the bark by hand, we are able to preserve as much of these colorings and markings as possible, making each box unique.

Gathering Wood With Our Horses.

The pine for this hare ring box has come from a local ranch here in Montana. Many of the trees are inaccessible to vehicles, so we use horsepower!
Horses in harness pull out the sections of tree trunk used for our larger furniture. The smaller pieces, including the branch for this ring box, are loaded into pack panniers on our horses and brought out of the mountains.
Having our own selection of wood allows us to select the colors and markings to make each piece unique.
