This large rustic crate has built in dividers to separate all of your items. It is dusty and worn but it is very, very thick. It is nailed together.
It has 8 square sections, but only 7 vintage wood berry baskets.
It measures 20 x 9 x 4 inches and is fairly sturdy for its age (we think it could be as old as late 1920s - 1940s).
This is an authentic, vintage item and is being offered as found, with the cute little baskets (also authentically old) included. This is not a new item made to look old.
It was painted black, but it has paint sale loss and scrapes and marks and splinters in places, as well as stains and marks to the coloring. It's wonderfully distressed.
The little baskets are made from a thin wood (almost like a bark) and are trimmed with green metal at the top. The baskets are delicate and brittle from age, and some have splintered, chipped and cracked (see pics).
It is definitely scratchy and a bit dusty, and we think it would work wonderfully as an indoor herb tray...or, use it on your work bench to hold your paints, tools, scraps of paper and and other supplies....or use it to sort your bills and office paperwork....or as a tray for cups and flatware at your next picnic....or to sort your collection of small rustic books...or at your wedding to hold table numbers or gifts for your guests.
