1950s Fruit Print Tablecloth Patchwork Calico Print Multicolor Apple/Pear/Cherry/Grape sale Red-Green-Blue-Yellow Large Rectangle 50x62 Vintage
This is a great vintage 1940's - 1950's, fruit, print tablecloth. There are no labels so I do not know who the maker is or the content, but I would say it is made of cotton. It is a large, rectangular, shaped tablecloth measuring approximately 50 x 62 inches in size. The pattern consists of apples, cherries, pears, grapes and peaches/plums in red, green yellow and blue designed in calico-print patchwork to emulate hand-sewn, appliqué needlework. It is an allover pattern with single pieces of fruit scattered around the center and large clusters of fruit baskets in the corners. The edge has a border of cobalt, blue, rick-rack, shaped, ribbon trim with medium, sized, fruit clusters. All the fruit, leaves and blue rick-rack are edged in black stitching to look like sale hand stitching. The colors are still bright and vivid. This beauty has been gently used and is in good condition with very, minor spotting and slight discoloration at the folds due to storage which probably will come out when sprayed with “Oxi-Clean” and laundered. Please be sure before purchasing as this item is not returnable. Check out my Etsy shop for more vintage tablecloths.
