Product code: Georg Jensen Sterling Pastry Server, Bernadotte sale Pattern circa 1939 rare Art Deco
Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Bon-Bon/Tart Pastry Server, a quaint specialty utensil to serve pastries, chocolates, little cake tarts, etc., sweets typical for tea/coffee time. This solid Sterling Silver Art Deco style utensil would normally be placed at the foot of a small tart pastry platter, and the guest or servant would choose and shovel up a little dessert for the plate. Very old fashioned. Dimensions are: 5 5/8” long, 1 7/8” is the diameter of the shovel (flat spoon part). Weighs exactly 44 grams. The handle has 4 ribs, carved around this solid block of Sterling Silver in a very Art Deco 1920's/1930's sale look. Hallmarked “GEORG JENSEN STERLING DENMARK” on the back of the base of the shovel. Comes with original camel colored 1950's dust bag. In excellent vintage condition. No dents, dings, or damage. Just some micro scratches on the shovel. Has a Modernist look and design, “Bernadotte” Ribbed Pattern. Extraordinary fine vintage condition with original dust cover. Very rare Art Deco.
