Up for sale is a wonderful antique advertising lithograph for The General Tires depicting a hunting dog with its pups. This original lithograph is probably from the '30s-'40s and is in overall nice condition. The lithograph has folding going down the center vertically and two vertically which can only be seen in the last photo of the reverse. The top has been unevenly cut which removed the top of The General Tire logo and their slogan "you know they've got what it takes.". This at first was believed to have been part of a calendar but this is too large for any promotional calendar that I have seen. This lithograph measures 17.25 x 15 inches and has a wonderful color! This is illegibly signed in the low right corner who was the artist who painted the original used for this advertisement. The General Tire logo is seen in the top center. What makes these so rare is the fact that they were never meant to be kept and were easily damaged, destroyed and lost to time.
