ORIGINAL Oil Painting: Palm Trees sale in South Texas Against Blue Sky Background, Date Palms Tropical Original Artwork
ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING: this product is a one-of-a-kind oil painting. It was painted on location in front of a grove of palm trees on the McNay Art Museum Grounds in San Antonio, Texas. We landscape artists call painting on location "painting en plein air;" and this particular work was painted entirely while outdoors looking at the subject matter.
This painting depicts a grove of palm trees outside of the McNay Art Museum. The original McNay house can be seen in the lower right-hand side of the painting. The central palm tree in this piece is a date palm depicted in its sale full dazzling array of colors -- purples, greens, yellows, tans, blues, etc. Behind the tree grove is a beautiful partly-cloudy deep blue sky.
8x10" oils on canvas board. Unframed -- photos of this piece framed are for demonstration purposes only.
*** A note about photos of original paintings: it is impossible to capture precisely what a painting looks like in a photo. The lighting, camera, and picture settings used can all drastically alter the colors, contrast, darkness/lightness, and edges of a painting. For that reason I've attempted to include photos of this painting in a few different environments. If you feel like you don't have a solid sense of how the painting looks from the photos in this listing, please feel free to reach out to me for more photos of the work in different environments.
