Felt Gingerbread House with Miniature Kids Dolls, Biscuits, and Sweets
This is the actual sample work used for my book, 'Mini Felt Christmas' from Search Press Book. The templates and instructions are found in the book.
The gingerbread house is 5.5in wide (front wall), 6in tall including the chimney, 6in deep. It is a sturdy cardboard box covered first with cotton, then felt. It has a lining felt fabric. The roof opens and the biscuits can be stored in the house.
The roof is covered with wool fabric. The piped creams are attached to the roof. You can arrange cookies and sweets on the roof. Cookies will not slide off. The set comes with many realistic-looking cookies and chocolate sale buttons.
The dolls are 2.7in tall. They will need support standing up. Pin their shoes to the table or lean them against walls and cookies. The body and outfits are made with felt, and the face and arms are made with cotton stockinette. The facial features are embroidered.
Assemble the set however you like.
The project can be enjoyed as a toy, however, it is not intended for a very young child.
