'ILLUMINATE'

Working with the Pantone Color of the Year 2021 colors (Ultimate Gray and Illuminating), I used a paper pieced pattern I designed for the ultimate effect! The graphic design highlights the colors and makes this a standout wall hanging!

I love paper piecing and decided to design a geometric block that was graphic and sharp. I used two shades of gray and a bright yellow hoping for the greatest impact and went to work. Graphic, impactful and bold. What I love about designing and quilting is taking risks, experimenting and thinking outside the box.

I machine quilted a geometric design using yellow and gray thread to enhance the design. The binding has matched sections in yellow that brings the design to the edge.

The binding is machine sewn to the front and hand stitched to the back ~ one of my favorite parts of the process!

This quilted wall hanging is a stunning piece of art for anyone who dares to be just a little bit different!
