Ipe wood bass mutes for double bass. This one is small and horse shoe shaped, like a darker tone version of Purple Heart wood. This wood is very hard like ebony
VERY warm sounding mute. Changes tone depending on the strings you put it on, slightly less tone change compared to my larger mutes, but still very successful mute in changing the tambre and atmosphere of the sound
Unlike to a rubber mute, a wooden mute doesn't diminish the sound as much and effects the tone more, creating a warmer sound.
A velvet pouch to hold the mute is included with every purchase!
