A00 Wulumulu

This is a chess set of simple, noble forms and decisive colours. This set is created by local craftsman who use traditional methods of carpentry, screen printing and book binding as well as the highest quality of materials. The pieces are made from beech wood, coloured with water-based stains and protected with a two-layer coating of organic oil. With this set we decided that the chess board is to be made of beech playwood and the pawn case is to be made through book binding techniques. There are prints on the box as well as the board that were done by us using screen printing. The form of the pieces differs slightly to those of the 2019 set due to the need of adjusting their shapes to create an easier and more efficient production.


The name of the set (Wulumulu) is a subvariant of the Desprez opening found in the category of irregular chess debuts marked with the symbol A00.
 
The set was designed by Kasia Rysiak. Chess pieces designed in cooperation with Agnieszka Wach.

The A00 Wulumulu set is available in two color options.

A00 Wulumulu

To komplet szachowy o prostej, szlachetniej formie figur i zdecydowanych barwach. Jest to zestaw wykonany przez lokalnych rzemieślników, z użyciem tradycyjnych technik stolarskich, sitodruku, technik introligatorskich i wysokiej jakości materiałów. Figury są wykonane z drewna bukowego i barwione bejcą wodną, a potem zabezpieczane dwiema warstwami atestowanego, organicznego oleju. Aby wprowadzić nową jakość materiałową szachownica została wykonana ze sklejki bukowej, a pudełko na piony wykończone metodą oprawy introligatorskiej. Na planszach i pudełku znajdują się druki, wykonane własnoręcznie metodą sitodruku. Forma figur szachowych różni się odrobinę w stosunku do kompletu A00 z 2019 roku, jest to wynikiem dostosowania ich kształtu do możliwości prostszej i bardziej wydajnej produkcji.

Komplet A00 Wulumulu jest dostępny w dwóch wersjach kolorystycznych.
 
Nazwa kompletu- Wulumulu, to jeden z wariantów „otwarcia Dezpreza”, znajdującego się w grupie nietypowych debiutów szachowych, oznaczonych symbolem A00.
 
Zestaw zaprojektowany przez Kasię Rysiak. Piony i figury zaprojektowane we współpracy z Agnieszką Wach.
