sale After the First World War, the poppies of the battlefields of Flanders were adopted as the universal symbol of remembrance. This hand-crafted, stained glass panel features a stylised version of these brave little flowers, set against the glow of golden, streaky glass, symbolising the hope which came with the sunrise.
The panel is mounted in a re-purposed frame of natural pine and measures 11 ins x 9 ins (28 cms x 23 cms.)
This unique piece is one of a series of one-off poppy-themed panels created by Fingask Glass in Scotland to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War in 2018. 10% of the profit from the sale will be donated to Scottish charity, Poppyscotland to support their ongoing work with the Armed Forces community today.
