Vintage Metal Sap Bucket Maple Syrup Pail Red Paint Container sale 6"

This vintage metal sap bucket is painted red and measures 6 inches tall by 7 inches wide. Sap buckets are hung on maple trees in the early spring to collect the running tree sap for making maple syrup. Sap buckets are handy for flower arrangements or holiday greens. The hanging hole on the top of the bucket can be used to hang the bucket. This piece comes with a vintage, wooden tap that would have been inserted into the tree, diverting the sap so it runs into the bucket through the hollow part of the tap.

The bucket sale is in decent condition. There is overall rust, dents, dings, paint loss and the pail is not perfectly symmetrical.
