Awesome vintage find!
This is a vintage "used in actual Casino" smokey black glass ashtray from the old Thunderbird Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Thunderbird opened in 1948 and was in business until 1977.
It was the 4th Resort to open on The Strip, and had a Navajo Indian theme.
It was sold in 1977 after money troubles and change of ownership, & then became the Silver Bird. After the new owner died, it was sold again and became the El Rancho Vegas. The last tower that existed was then imploded in October 2000. That property and the Algiers property then became the site of "The Drew Las Vegas" a new resort scheduled to open 2022!
This vintage ashtray is in Excellent "used" vintage condition, and is from the mid 50's. Measures about 4" inches in diameter. No cracks or chips, maybe a few scratches on the bottom, but Excellent condition.
