These earrings feature five soldered circles adorned with tiny Tahitian Keshi Pearls floating inside the bottom circle. *Tahitian Pearls**
-Exotic pearls from the Black-lip pearl oyster are called Tahitian Pearls. These pearls are often referred to as black but have a remarkable color range that covers the spectrum - from creamy white to light grey, regal greens, iridescent peacock and black. Tahitian pearls are bead-nucleated, but unlike Akoya pearls, the nacre is very thick. The thinnest nacre allowed by French Polynesian law for export is 0.8 mm, which is a depth that is extremely thick compared to Akoya. Unlike freshwater and Akoya pearls, Tahitian Pearls are created in salt water and naturally have darker hues. Tahitian Pearls are one of the most sought-after treasures in the world!

-I hand select all Tahitian Pearls incorporated into my jewelry designs. I have connections with a supplier who imports Tahitian Pearls straight from the crystal-clear lagoons of French Polynesia, who then wholesales to me. Through my suppliers working directly with farmers and auction houses in Tahiti over the past decade, it's enabled me to get excellent quality pearls at fair prices; which makes my customers very happy!

About Gold Fill:
Gold-fill jewelry is an UPGRADE to gold plated and vermeil (which fades and leaves your skin green). Gold Filled jewelry supplies are legally required to be 5% gold by weight VS the sheer .05% layer with plated jewelry. Gold-filled jewelry is a great economical alternative to solid gold, offering gold's characteristic warm yellow tone at a fraction of the cost. The value of gold-filled is greater than gold-plated because gold-filled has an actual layer of karat gold, not just a microscopic film, as is the case with gold-plated items. The karat gold covering also significantly increases the tarnish- resistance of the base metal substrate. If taken care of, it can last as long as solid gold and won't tarnish or rub off.

Care Instructions:
Gold-fill and Sterling can definitely get wet. I surf and free dive in most of my jewelry. I usually take thin chains off before going into the ocean, however, because the layer of gold on a thin GF chain vs. a thick GF chain is less (based per weight). You can wash your hands, shower, and swim in the ocean with your Nani Shells. We sale do recommend steering clear of harsh chemicals (Chlorine), oils, beauty products, make-up, and cleaners. Do not ever spray chemicals or perfume directly onto your jewelry. Always freshwater rinse after ocean dips & completely dry with lint-free linen.
