Encaustic paint is made up of beeswax, resin, and pigment and should be handled with care. Keep your painting in an environment between 40 degrees and 120 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent cracking or melting. Otherwise, it is quite durable and the surface will continue to harden over time. If the surface gets dusty, it can be polished gently with a soft, cotton cloth.
