"Sorting Through" '22

Canvas: reclaimed wood and sheet cloth

Hello and thank you for checking our listing! This is a personal project that I am hoping is able to provide comfort and a more hopeful take on what can be a quite painful process- untangling trauma.

Please note: This is an unsealed, cloth canvas and sale requires careful handling to avoid staining.
Disclosure: There is a light paint mark above the finished, central painting (pictured). There is one area with water caused colorspread.

You will receive:
1x painting as pictured
1x handwritten note with a message about the painting (attached on back)
1x printed note with the same message

The message the painting arrives with:
"To work through my trauma"

That is the mantra I live by among other things. To challenge what feels insurmountable and makes me afraid of the hurt and discomfort that gatekeeps security and softness and a world of love I hid myself from.

This piece is about the beginning of another journey. It's about finding that root cause or that inkling of a thread that you unravel to the heart of the hurt and begin to heal.

It may take some time to work out the kinks and you may find some of the threads got criss-crossed and mixed but with a lot of patience and a gentle hand, you'll sort through the trauma threads on the tapestry of your life and see the colorful pattern before you.
