The gorgeous design from Gnezdovo X century - originally found as a spiral pattern on a circular pin, manufactured in "Vladimirian Barrows", close to Nerl River, Russia.
Pyro'ed on a 10cm x 10cm conifer storage box, dyed with coffee, treated with juniper oil
Wooden bowls, spoons and most other items from my production are not treated chemically, but with natural oils (mostly linseed) or waxes. This requires more sensitive treatment.
PRODUCT MAINTENANCE
- Do not expose the products to excessive heat or humidity.
- The products are not intended for prolonged contact with liquids.
- Clean well with lukewarm water without detergent and coarse sponges.
- Once in a while, treat the surface of the product with linseed, or other oils intended for the treatment of wooden utensils. (Do not use rapeseed or sunflower oil, they turn rancid quickly)
- If the surface becomes rough after washing, lightly sand it with fine sandpaper (280 and finer) and oil again. Do not sand over the pyrography, it will destroy it.
- Do not store the products while damp, but only after they are completely dry.
- Do not put the products in the dishwasher or in the microwave.
By following these few directions, everything will serve you for sale a long time, if not a lifetime.
