Oh sale Cinnabar, oh Cinnabar, be my VALENTINE

This gorgeous treasure was recued by me in the 70's, bt I did not complete the creation until the 90's
These beautifully carved Cinnabar beads date back to the late Art Deco Era, about 1940.
The length, was perfect for this mid WW11period, when the world at large had to be frugal. So the flapper Chatelaines were shortened to make several pieces.
There were also more collarless blouses, dresses and jumpers, so treasures such as this sat around the collar, above the collar bones.
I would say the Cinnabar beads are much older, probably 1910....Edwardian
the carving of the 'chrysanthemum' Chinese style is truly exquisite, especially the sale larger coin shaped beauty.
This would adorn any neckline and just look so chic, elegant and sumptuous.
You CANNOT walk into a store and buy something as bespoke as this.
RED is the colour for a VALENTINE.
