Vintage inuit Stone Carving Roosting Bird sale Signed

An interesting Inuit carving of a huddling bird with its feathers held close to its body. You can almost feel the Arctic winds coming in and buffeting it. Dark chocolate brown stone with nice veining throughout the stone.

The carving is signed in Inuktitut syllabics but theseare hard to decipher as some are confusing or fall off the edge of the carving.

Reads Ai-sa ior I -sa then Si-M ( written wrong way), then possibly ta- na or simply va
