This beautiful figurine of a Springer Spaniel with a pheasant in his mouth was produced by Royal Doulton in 1929 (based on analysis of maker's mark and backstamp). sale It is skillfully painted in brilliant tones, and the lifelike expression on the dog's face makes it a thing of beauty indeed. The figurine stands approximately 5.5 inches high. The base has a green Royal Doulton backstamp of the type that was current between 1927 and 1954. The 2 to the right of the lion indicates that this item was made in 1929.
