Total length of the necklace with clasp open from tip to tip is 57 1/2".
D'Orlan was started in 1957 by Maurice Bradden who was a protege to the famous jewelry designer Marcel Boucher. Eventually bought Boucher's business and many of their pieces are Boucher designed and Boucher molds.
D' Orlan was known for the best quality craftsmanship and materials. Many of their pieces were molded in pewter then triple plated in 22k gold! This looks to be the case on this piece but I can not be sure. The color of the gold is so rich, it looks like real solid gold! D'Orlan also produced all jewelry for Nina Ricci and Lancel.
