Artist Arthur John Elsley's "Surprise" Victorian Art Print with Gold Antiqued Wood Frame, Little Girl with Kittens in Her Bed, sale Vtg 1950s

So so sweet! Lovely, adorable vintage framed Victorian art print, "Surprise" by British artist, Arthur John Elsley (1860---1952) from his painting of a little Victorian era girl playing with her many (5) kittens in her bed. Exquisite, ornate gold antiqued high quality wood frame with glass cover, vtg 1950s- 60s. Arthur John Elsley was famous for his many portraits of Victorian children with domesticated animals. This one is just incredible! The print, framed in a sale beautiful ornate gold antiqued wood frame, with glass cover is in excellent vintage condition, like-new, no fading of color or other signs of wear. The brown cover paper on back of frame is brittle and torn, showing the true age of the item. It can be taped easily, but I will leave that to its new owner. (See last photo). I prefer to leave older vtg items as found. Very sweet and romantic. Excellent for Victorian, Cottage, Farmhouse, Country, and Shabby Chic Decor styles. Lovely art for a child's room or nursery. Great gift for cat lovers!
