1920s expandable sliding brass book rack, made by the H. L. Judd Company in the 1920s. Minimum width is 12 inches and maximum width is 22 inches when fully expanded. The book ends, featuring The Scholar, measure 5'' tall x 6.25'' wide. The bookends are stamped with the manufacturer's number 9823. The book rack weighs 2.5 pounds and holds books securely and safely.
The Judd Company was known for some of the highest quality artistic metal works of the period.
