Antique William Adams & Co Rooster Motif Plates, sale S/8

A set of 8 plates with a rooster motif. A cockerel crows on a grassy field in the center, surrounded by a border with a leaf design. I've seen these with a motto but never with the rooster on his own. Made by William Adams & Co, one of the great Staffordshire potteries.

The mark indicates these plates were made between 1891 and 1917.

Condition: very good antique condition with no chips or sale cracks. The transfer was not applied terribly carefully, so there are some stray marks that were made in manufacturing.
