This painting was originally part of the Pavilions of D. Carlos I Park quadriptych, exploring photography and its relationship to sale painting. It was created by reducing a photograph of the pavilion to a blank sketch and printing that sketch to use as a template. Then photo filters were used to determine the color palette of each painting. The different filters alter the perception we have of each painting in terms of their mood and tone. Overall, these works are about taking generic photographs and filtering them through painting, where the once easily mass-produced image now becomes something more unique and one of a kind.
