I love to travel, camp and explore. When I come home, I go to my studio and paint some of the places that have inspired me.
This painting is called: Stormy Clouds
This is an original acrylic landscape painting by myself, Tara Miller. It is hand-painted on 11”x14” stretched canvas on a wood frame and can be hung on the wall. I love to work with acrylic paint since the colors are so vibrant. This painting is the calm before the storm and can be seen in the beauty of the clouds. These clouds are rolling in just like waves in the sea. Ready to hang in any space.

A little bit about myself and my shop:

When covid first happened, I lost my job, my kids were sent home for virtual schooling, and we were locked indoors. Our family felt the stresses that the whole world was enduring. My husband suggested that I should pick up painting once again to keep me focused on something positive. What felt like a lifetime ago, was once my greatest enjoyment. As an artist, I put down my paintbrushes and never looked back once I became a Mother. That was over 15 years ago. If it wasn't for my husband suggesting it to me, I don't know if I would have started painting again. I am truly grateful that he remembered a quality about myself that I had almost forgotten. As a mom, we get so wrapped up in day-to-day living and caring for others that we sometimes forget to care for ourselves. I have always instilled creativity in my children and love doing projects with them. When my husband suggested to me, I thought, why not give my kids an art lesson in painting. The only paints we had in the house were the children's acrylic paints. So with the kid's supplies, we sat down and did our first lesson together. The kids did a great job with their art! And for me, it sparked a joy that I almost forgot made me who I am as a creative person. Since then, I have made myself a studio space, been to craft/art shows, and re-opening my Etsy shop. My youngest child has been right beside me and loves being creative too. She has been making jewelry. I may list some of her items on my Etsy shop and make sure it is known that it is her artwork if you choose to support it. I hope this inspires everyone to never lose themselves while trying to be everything to everyone. Always do something each day that will bring you joy.
