Pathways is a new series of miniature basket for 2018-19. The traditional pattern on this basket was inspired sale by the beautiful colors that the linen comes in, the pattern is inspired by traditional native american basket designs. Shades of Purple blues, greens, yellow and pink, contrasted by black linen. The combination of color and pattern makes this basket unique.
This miniature basket was made using a technique called coiling, using linen thread and nylon cord I tightly wrap the different colors of linen thread over the nylon cord to create the shape and patterns. The linen comes in a lot of beautiful colors as you can see in this basket. Linen is the longest of the natural fibers giving this basket substantial strength that will hold up for many years.
Size of basket is small approximately 4.75"h x 3.5"w x 2.5"d
This miniature basket is very versatile it is designed to be wearable, can also be displayed sitting on it bottom, or it can be hung on a wall. Baskets are meant to be utilitarian so use this to hold whatever will fit in your miniature basket, keys, glasses, business cards or nothing at all just a beautiful miniature basket.
