This lovely Christmas silver ornament features a winged angel kitten with front paws together and a big ribbon at the neck!

The sterling silver kitten ornament measures about 2.5 inches (63mm) tall, 2.1 inches (54mm) wide, weighs 0.71 ounces (20 grams) and comes hand tied with a red satin ribbon for hanging on your tree.

I hand sculpted this angel kitten out of 2 different types of waxes. I started with the kitten in the malleable wax, which handles like clay when warmed. I then made the wings with soft wax and a little harder wax that was applied over the soft to get the feather detail. The two pieces were welded together with wax.

Then the wax model was hand molded to sale get a high-temperature epoxy likeness. From this another rubber mold was created. Hand cast fusible alloy mandrel has been silver deposited in the process called electroforming. The fusible alloy mandrel was evacuated creating a hollow sterling silver Christmas ornament. The opening is hand soldered closed with a sterling disc bearing my insignia and the word "sterling." This is oxidized and hand polished to bring out the full detail and luster of the sterling silver. All done in the USA.

The silver cat ornament comes in a tarnish resistant light green tissue paper and a 2-piece gold gift box with additional colorful tissue paper for packing
