Newsboy cap made of out of a re-used light beige leather shirt. This lamb hide is thin and soft and the texture and the natural imperfections of leather are easily visible. Unfortunately sale I do not know details of how the leather was dyed.
The band is made of light beige linen or linen blend fabric, which is lightly wrinkled as linen often is. The cap is fully lined with gorgeous, orange color silk fabric. Soilevuo signature *S* is hand written with pyrography technique on a piece of white leather on the inside of the cap.
A piece of flat decor band runs inside the sweatband and laces in front. The size can be adjusted to some extent by tightening the decor band. There is an excess length of the band left on purpose so that a buyer can cut the band at desired length.
Washing: The leather can be carefully wiped with a soft, damp cloth, if stained. Otherwise I would recommend taking the cap to a dry cleaner's if a more through wash is necessary.
Size: The hat crown is oversized. Circumference inside is about 59 cm. Can be tightened to some extent with the decor band which runs inside the sweatband. (The band does not glide easily so you need to draw carefully.)
The peak is 5,3 cm long in the middle. The peak is prepared with iron-on stiffening fabric (no plastic form inside).
The color may differ depending on monitor settings. I will be glad to send a color sample of the leather, if you want to be sure the color suits your garments.
Made in a smoke-free home with no pets. The last photo shows the shirt out of which this cap was made of. The shirt does not exist any more. This listing only includes the hat.
