Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Beaded Purse Puffy Handbag Filigree Silver Clasp Frame
This is an outstanding Art Nouveau sale beaded purse, 1895 - 1905, a wonderful find, and it's in very good antique condition.

Frame/clasp is a nicely embossed filigree metal, tarnished silver or silver plate or steel.

These purses have become known as the "puffy" because that is what they are, sweet little beaded puffballs that fit in the palm of your hand.

This handmade purse is quite old, from the late Victorian era to the early 1900s. The colored beads are still vibrant but need a good cleaning but still with vibrant blue-black, pinkish reds, greens, and yellows.

This purse is crowned with a circular-shaped, silver-toned, Victorian-styled filigree frame and clasp. It opens and closes as it should. The chain is rusty metal.4-3/4 inches in length with clasp 6-3/4 inches in length x 5-1/4 inches wide. Chain 7 inches in length.

The interior is black material, maybe it had been lined or not but no holes tears, or stain for such an old handbag.

It is in amazing condition for age, there is 1 small area where the beads are missing about 5 beads is all.
