The Bourgogne region in France owes its unique terroir (soil) to an ancient seabed from the middle Jurassic period. This shell fossil was found by Piddlewick amongst our archaeological dig as part of the restoration of our old garden. It is over 150 million years old. A truly unique gift idea for someone who loves France, it's culture and food.

This fossil and the stone it is embedded in is quite heavy. It measures: 8.5 cm (3 1/4 inches) wide by 7.5 (3 inches) deep at its widest by 7 cm (2 3/4 inch) high
