Ghost Trees 5 sale

The Ghost Trees series are small, wall -hung sculptures representing a cityscape and the trees that used to occupy that area.
The form was cast in hydrocal (plaster/gypsum cement) from a mold I made from my own clay original, and then hand painted with acrylics. Painting each sale piece is a multi-stepped process that includes masking, several washes of paint, unmasking, and additional painting. When dry, each piece was sealed with a UV coating to protect the color from fading.

The pieces can be hung on a wall using the sawtooth hanger on the back.

No two Ghost Trees are exactly alike.
