Rare Original 1960 Reno Nevada Artist sale Potter Thad Hess Flared Vessel Vase Form with Light Florals SIGNED for the MCM decor and more

The Charlie B Gallery of Carson City, Nevada is offering this rare Thad Hess flared vessel vase form for sale. In the 1950's Hess was an art student at the University of Nevada Reno, where he was a protege of Craig Sheppard and Ed Yates. Newspaper archives note him exhibiting his ceramics and paintings during the 1950's. I know he was an older student when he attended UNR as I have spoke with at least one fellow student.

This example is signed Thad Hess, Friday May 13, 1960 and Boo! as sale shown. Original glaze blips to the interior dark glaze and rim area--all original. I do not detect any post-studio chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. This vase has a nice ring when tapped. All fragile merchandise is shipped using the "double box" process.
