This vintage Japanese Kimono *Meisen "Haori" is a Japanese top kimono usually worn on a kimono. Perfect in any season.
This Haori has beautiful monochrome leaf and flower patterns in an amazing looking 100% wild silk fabric.

*The "Meisen" style silk kimono was the most popular garment in the 1920s and 1930s, when people still sale wore the kimono daily. It is very different from all other kimonos that have always had a "classy" feel. Meisen kimonos were worn as they do every day at home and for everyday tasks. The main feature of Meisen is its pattern, which consists of pre-dyed threads. As the fabric is woven, the surface decoration appears as a shimmering pattern. Due to events such as World War I and the Kanto earthquake of 1923, the price of silk fell and the production and popularity of the meisen kimono was at its peak. Meisen's kimono was a stylish, affordable and durable garment for every day. Their crazy models are very similar to modern art paintings.
