This one-of-a-kind hardwood ring features two varieties of hardwood and two colours of resin covering what appears to be a micro-scale mountain scene, all seamlessly sandwiched in three layers.
The ring is fashioned from ebony and beech hardwood, both salvaged from other things. With the pale magenta and blue resin over the top it becomes a mystical landscape, shrouded in mist, from a fantasy tale of sorcerers and the supernatural, entrancing in its vibrant colours and minute detail, epic in its atomnity.
The resin is sanded into a unique faceted shape and then polished until it is crystal clear, letting light pass and refract through it. The wood is also polished to a smooth finish and then rubbed with a linseed oil that protects it, waterproofs it and deepens its colour.
