Antique Soft Paste Springware Tea Cup and Saucer Chinoiserie Pierre-Joseph Boch Septfontaines Shabby Cottage Chic

This is a gorgeous antique Georgian soft paste porcelain single cup and saucer set that features hand painted sprigs of navy blue flowers and a stylized bird in the center. The colors used are akin to those used in imari porcelain, navy (cobalt blue), rust and dark green in imitation of Chinese or Japanese porcelain. It has a very unique shape. The saucer is bowl shaped, possibly for drinking out of, as was the custom once upon a time. Dating to about 1787-1800, it has a BL mark which I believe is for Pierre-Joseph Boch's factory at Septfontaines. This would sale make a fine addition to your antique porcelain collection or use as intended on your dining table.

The cup measures 2.75" long x 2.5" wide x 2.5" tall. The saucer measures 5.25" long x 4.5" wide x 1.5" tall.

Condition: fair pre-owned condition, two chips along rim.
