Saint Patrick Original sale Retablo Icon in Hand Painted Frame

This one of a kind piece consists of an sale original painting of Saint Patrick done on a hammered copper panel and set into a hand painted wood frame.

Done in the style of Spanish Colonial retablos (icons), I've painted Saint Patrick with his traditional emblems of a snake (winding around his staff) and shamrocks (on his vestment). I've also added the Celtic cross or cross pattee (at the top of his staff) and given him red hair.

The copper panel measures app. 4 1/4" by 6" and it is varnished to protect the image and sheen of the copper. The frame measures app. 8" by 10" with a 3/4" profile. Hanging hardware is installed on the back.
