This pair of fancy Native American sterling silver coral collar tips will dress up a southwest or Western shirt/jacket very nicely. The handcrafted tips are triangular shaped with sculptural floral, feather and leaf elements. There are also stamped designs and scalloped edges. This pair has a matched stamped design with slightly different foliate elements/design. Each piece has an oval red-orange 3mm x 5mm red coral cabochon bezel set at a corner. A lot of times collar tips, such as these, are set with screws for tightening. There is no such hardware on this pair, so the garment would have to be thick enough to hold it, silver squeezed tighter on back or hardware to be added.
Both collar tips tested as sterling silver (no hallmarks) and measure approx. 1 5/16 inches long by 1 1/4 inches at their widest. They are in very good sturdy vintage condition with patina, age wear and fine scratches to the sterling silver. Please see photos for condition and sale below for detailed measurements.
