These organic bronze earrings were designed for Finnish makers Valo-Koru by the renowned artist and designer Hannu Ikonen as part of the Jäkälä range in the 1970s, taking the organic form of the locally prevalent cup lichen, but these pieces are more commonly known as the 'Reindeer Moss' range and can be found in both Silver and Bronze in varying patterns.

Occasionally they are stamped 'Made in Finland', however more usually they are unsigned with the artist's own distinctive style becoming its own signature.
