Antique Knitted Stuffed Elephant Doll Toy 1915 - 1920 sale Crochet

This darling elephant was a little girl's toy back in the late 1910s/early 1920s. She is wearing a beautiful, lovingly knitted, jacket and hat. The hat has a hand-tied ribbon bow. Her eyes are two mother-of-pearl buttons. This little darling even has the cutest little curly q tail.

She measures about 8-1/2" tall and 7" wide. Condition is amazing considering her age. Here is what I see: there are three small holes in her jacket, on the front, one on each side and one on the left shoulder. They do show in the photo. A safety pin in the back holds the hat on the head. Other than these minor issues this elephant is just wonderful to behold.

Think about a little girl playing with this doll in the living room of her Washington, sale D.C. home while listening to her daddy singing My Little Girl.
