Our work in leather began in early 1990's when my dad worked in a small handicraft store back home in India. My dad later opened his own shop in 2007 and catered to the needs of bigger international clients by wholesaling journals. I moved to Australia in 2012 and finished my university in 2018 (Masters in Business, and Bachelors in Engineering from Melbourne).
With my knowledge in business and my skills in leather, I started Grasslanders in 2019 with my siblings. My brother works out of Portugal (Europe) and I and my sister work out of Melbourne and Adelaide respectively. Our dad works back home and we are all collectively providing full-grain leather products to the World.
I am proud to carry my dad's skills forwards, and his techniques include the famous 18 step process to make high-quality journals.
In 2021 we now have 4 workshops across the globe. (2 in Australia (Melbourne/ Adelaide), 1 in Spain, and 1 in Asia) and employ 25 full-time staff collectively. Our orders are dispatched from all our locations to give you sale the best price and quickest delivery.
We were all trained together by our dad and we still use the 18 step process to make each journal, so we all provide the same quality of workmanship. (Although I like to think I am better, haha).
