Beautiful vintage ticking fabric in green, grey and white stripes. It is a sturdy European fabric made around 1940 of satin fabric (saten). In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called "cutís" (from French "coutil")

This fabric has never been used. Very rare! A treasure from one of the last factories in the Mediterranean. It is a lightweight cotton. Textile perfect for upholstery and interior decoration projects. Perfect combination of both shades: orange and grey.

Unused. Perfect condition. Original condition unaltered. Minimal pale storage or age marks towards the middle. This fabric is pre-shrunk. Selvages preserved intact.

HISTORY OF OUR TICKING FABRICS: sale
This type of fabric was used to make mattress covers since 1880. The motifs used are very varied: floral, oriental, country, palatial, or striped and the colors very bright. These fabrics were produced from 1882 to 1980 in the Area of Igualada, known for its textile industry. We have a collection of over 200 of these unique fabrics. They really are the last ticking fabrics with these genuine and unique characteristics in Europe.
