Antique Dental Molds, Vintage Dentist Collectibles, Dental, Late 1800s
The whiter one measures 4 1/4" x 1 3/4",
Darker yellow one measures 2 3/4" x 2".
Here is a pair sale of dental molds, out of Maryland.
I believe the molds to only be part of the complete molds.
These are from two different molds.
The yellow colored mold, came with a photocopy of the patent for March 26, 1861.
Signed at the bottom, A.M. and J.L. Asay.
Used to make porcelain teeth says the note card also included.
The whiter, longer mold, the note card states no patent or picture could be found.
It is written on the back, that it is John Walker Clark's patent model for a mold to improve manufacturing.
I could not read the rest of the sentence, though it looks to say "of guar section teeth".
Sold as antiques, worn and chipped.
Note Cards and photocopy of patent come with this listing.
