Vintage Globe, 1970s Globemaster, Vintage Replogle World Portrait Globe, Topographical Map, Navy sale Silver Globe, Mid Century Office Decor, 12"

Today I have a gorgeous navy blue and silvery pewter ornate globe. It's from the 1970's by Globemaster/Replogle. In addition to its beauty, this globe is topographical -- it has that cool 'relief' that gives an idea of the mountains -- even the deep sea trenches! Another interesting aspect is the number of countries that are no longer sale or have changed names which really puts some of the history of the last 50 years into perspective.

This globe measures 16" tall x 12-1/2" wide. The base has intricate embellishments and the 'arm' is designed to show latitude & longtitude (?)
