sale This is a one of a kind modern handmade end grain prep board made from walnut and maple. The cutting board is finished with Ryan Woodworking Board butter which is 100% food safe and scent free.

The size is 10 1/2" (L), 5 1/2" (W), 2" (H). Please note dimensions may vary slightly.

End grain cutting boards do not dull your knives like a face grain would and they "self heal" which means the vertical fibres split apart during the cutting action and then close up again once the knife has completed its pass. The re-closing of the wood fibres is what is referred to as self healing.

Cutting board care:
To wash your cutting board simply use hot soapy water. Do not let the board soak in water and do not put it in the dishwasher or it may warp or crack. Apply a small amount of board conditioner after the first few uses to ensure longevity. If the board starts to look dry, apply another coat. Do not use olive oil or cooking oil because it may go rancid.
